DRAWING A BETTER WORLD

SAWBO VIDEO LIBRARY LITE

SAWBO has developed more than 70 different animations with translations in over 100 different languages. These can all be viewed, downloaded, and shared at our Video Library. This month we wanted to highlight an option to access our library for individuals with slow internet connections. Our Video Library Lite is a quick, simple site designed to load over slow connections. Anyone can visit this site and download and share our animations.

LOOKING BACK AT ANIMATIONS IN OUR VIDEO LIBRARY

We have over 600 different animations in our Video Library, with over 70 different topics, with more than 100 language variants. Here are a few animations we would like to highlight this month:

POSTHARVEST LOSS: BAG STACKING IN BENGALI (ACCENT FROM INDIA)

This animation explains the best practices for bag storage of grain using a bag stacking technique.

MICROFINANCE 2: ELECTION OF A MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE IN AMHARIC (ACCENT FROM ETHIOPIA)

This animation describes the process of electing a management committee. We discuss how decisions are made collectively and how a committee is elected as part of this process. It is the second animation out of six in the Microfinance Animation Series.

MALARIA PREVENTION: BED NETS IN MENDE (ACCENT FROM SIERRA LEONE)

The malaria mosquito usually bites in the evening until sunrise. At home it is very important to protect yourself through the proper installation of mosquito nets around your beds or sleeping areas. Use of bed-nets every night, children and adults alike, helps to keep the malaria mosquito out!

EBOLA PREVENTION: VARIANT FOR LIBERIA IN KPELLE (ACCENT FROM LIBERIA)

Ebola is a life threatening disease caused by the Ebola virus. This animation variant for Liberia provides information on the symptoms of Ebola, how it spreads, and how we can help stop it from spreading.

CORRECTING CLUBFOOT: THE PONSETTI METHOD IN LINGALA (ACCENT FROM DR CONGO)

Clubfoot is a congenital deformity that involves one foot or both, where the affected foot appears to have been rotated internally at the ankle. In this animation the Ponseti Method is explained in a way to help parents understand the process.
