Protect Yourself From Indoor Air Pollution
Many people use open fires to cook and stay warm. When you cook over an open fire, you are inhaling particles and gases which are bad for you. Even when you can’t see smoke, burning solid fuels like charcoal, wood, coal, or dung releases harmful particles into the space around you. This is called indoor air pollution. Breathing smoke and small particles can cause you and your children to cough and become sick. Children and adults can eventually die from illnesses caused by too much smoke exposure. This animation goes over some simple steps you can take to protect you and your children from indoor air pollution.
