SAWBO Video Portraits: Ben Blalock (SAWBO's Production Manager)

SAWBO is committed to global education in more ways than one. Our primary focus has been to develop educational content for low literate learners around the world. However, as we are based at a land grant institution we are also committed to educating U.S.-based students on global problems and solutions.

Ben Blalock is one such student that has received global experience through SAWBO. He started working at SAWBO in the summer of 2012 as an animator and now he is our production manager. During his time at SAWBO, Ben has worked with individuals and organizations based in over 50 countries, on globally important topics and the results of his work have been viewed by millions of people around the world. These experiences have expanded his view of the world while giving him the opportunity to help individuals across the planet. He did all of this between his classes.
